Her scars a proof of the epic trials that these fish go through to make it home to their tributaries every year to create more steelhead. I know this fish’s personal route is guarded by eagles and osprey, and holds falls that involve attempt after attempt to clear for the home stretch to spawn. Been after a fish this size for quite a long time and am so psyched to be able to observe this one and release it for its journey back to the big water of Champlain!

First streamer eater of the year!

A frw post eclipse steelhead while everyone else is stuck in traffic! Woo!

Got into a few steelhead with the fly rod, great start to the year!

First steelhead in a looooong time, christmas miracle!

Caught a nice smallmouth on the fly rod today! Helped@my sister catch a new pb bass. Also found a cool little wood turtle, and turtles are fkn awesome. Great day on the water!
