Credit River

Hit the Cred today with Feng Li hoping for at least 1 fish for him. I had 0 expectations for myself and brought only a fly rod with some streamers. I tossed a jig streamer out to a slow swirling pool 15ft before me, didn't pay any attention and left it sitting there for a bit bobbing in the waves. A short strip into resistance had me thinking it was another snag, but it started moving.

Thought it was a Steelie but it turned out to be a 100% Atlantic Salmon. Took a quick picture and released her right away. It’s odd to see a “ocean” creature in the creek. Don’t know much about the Atlantic Salmon, but I guess this one was a still a baby.

This one was a bit of a surprise. Don’t know why it was in the creek. Never caught one before so may be in the future I would try and target a large CAT. Any suggestion on the rig will be deeply appreciated.
