Lancaster Rural Memorial Park Pond

From about a month ago but forgot to post. My buddy wanted to go fishing so I brought him to this spot bc you’re usually good to catch at least 1 bass here. Saw the tiny ones patrolling but couldn’t get bites. So I tied on a whopper plopper to try and attract these bass over to his bait. After a couple tries he finally got that tiny bass (last picture). His fish was about the size of my bait so I said “I don’t think there’s anything big enough in here to even eat my bait” and the very next cast, I get my PB at this location. Honestly didn’t know they could get this big here. Fun catch, fun day

Went out for an hour and got a couple tiny guys at the local spot. First time not getting skunked there in a while which was nice. Buzzbait seemed to be the answer

It started to rain so I said “last cast” and caught this guy in the slop on a frog. Missed a bunch of other fish bc I couldn’t set the hook through all the weeds. Didn’t get skunked though

Nice day of fishing. The fish seem to really like that natural colored jig/soft plastic swimbait combo, they’ve been crushing it

He was very stubborn. After annoying him with the bait for about 15 minutes, he finally had enough and ate it. Wish I could’ve gotten the female but after a failed hook set, she was gone. 4 total fish for the first fishing outing of the year

Caught this guy on a plastic worm right after breaking off my favorite lure in some brush. Made it a little less annoying. Put up a decent fight
