Deer Lake

Some big pike in this lake. This guy had his tail chomped at some point. Didn't stop him from smoking the squarebill.

Top water was good this morning. Got this one on the twitch after a big swing and miss.

Couple on the plopper this morning.

Couple of our pike in between releasing about 20 bass that were under slot.

Found a couple of nice chunks before a thunderstorm pelted me with hail and chased me off the lake. Two feet of snow coming in the forecast for northern Minnesota so I had to squeeze in a quick session.

The bite has been on fire with this warm weather giving the water temps a boost. Still getting aggressive hard strikes on crankbaits. 17 more this morning for an even 60 over the last three sessions. I'm really hoping to get a few more sessions in before the snow flies.

Eatin' good in the neighborhood! Overcast conditions led to a good topwater bite. Looking forward to some blackened bass and pickled pike.

Got out on some new water this morning and these little pike were frisky. Good times.
