Afternoon outing with Jason Durham, fishing guide near Park Rapids, MN, and other ladies from WAM. This guy pulls amazing fish all the time. But when he pulled up the smallest baby pike any of us had ever seen, we all had a good laugh. Even pros don't always win at this game. Not skunked on the WAM (Women Anglers of Minnesota) Fall Trip at Beauty Bay Lodge on Lake Belle Taine! My cabin mate Jackie took me out on her boat, and promised we'd catch something, and she found us something! 4 young pike. Not huge, but with the changing weather, the bite was difficult to find, she knew it. The co-owner of Beauty Bay Lodge, Tim, told me "It's not fishing, it's CATCHING! That's the fun part."
