Amazon fish in Malaysia? Peacock Bass is originated from the South America native to the Amazon and orinico basins. However, they have been here in Malaysia also for quite a while (since the 70’s). This predator fish were said to damage our local ecosystem and terrorising our native fish local habitat. However, Peacock Bass contains a good food value and has become a game fish to most of us in Malaysia.
