Early morning top water

Hit Washburn island this morning. Caught a couple small ones on the tiny klash in the first hour or two but, couldn't buy a bite after that. I also filmed a sweet swim vid of the Yunique baits mirror carp in action.

Killed it with the Klash 9 and got my first topwater fish of the year on the megabass I wing 135 yesterday.

Had decent sunday on Washburn island pond. Got two bites on the battle shad within the first 30 minutes. First one came off but, landed the second. It was pretty slow after that but, manged two more smaller fish on the deps bullshooter.

Went out and tossed some big baits with my friend Rick yesterday. He's been patiently pursuing his first bass on a big swimbait for a while now and it finally paid off yesterday when a this chunky little girl smashed his 7.8" keitech. It hasn't been easy getting the fish to choke a swimbait this spring but, I'm happy to report we ended the day having both caught a decent sized fish. I couldn't have asked for more. Well done Rick.
