Truckee River Wetlands

Finally! I was able to pull at least one bass out of each of the 5 ponds at the Truckee Meadow Wetlands. This was pond 5. I have 3 of 5 and 4 of 5 multiple times, but I usually run out of time or daylight. Dumb goal COMPLETE! Tight lines, y'all!

Fun on the kayak! Threw on something from the bag-o-plastics. A thin craw green/white. Threw to an isolated patch of tall grass. What do ya know? There was a dagum bass waiting for me.

Nice little one on that stick craw. Hiding in the thick tullies.

Nice lil upper deck hook set. Just letting it sink and a few twitches once at the bottom. Fun day out!

Ol' Rooster Tail comes through again. Smashed it in about 3ft of water between the shore grass line and the submergent growth. A little "alley" roughly 10ft wide. Dude has battle wounds! Fun catch! Have a great weekend, everybody!

Never underestimate the Rooster Tail. IDK, must have casted onto its nose. Bombed a cast out, and as soon as it hit the water, my rod bent. And with the hook, just set it and forget it! Tight lines, fishing friends!
