Crane Lake

Day 3 of pontoon boating didn't yield much, but not completely skunked, either. One rock bass on a perch colored spoon. I'm gonna blame the lack of bite on the changing weather. And my second cousins... they needed some help with their lines. Between driving the boat (I'm quite good at captaining) and untangling children's fishing gear, I didn't actually fish much. But fishing with family is an adventure on its own...

Found a few more fishies at a rock pile that my grandfather liked to fish. I've been aiming for walleye, and catching everything but. I guess walleye don't like crawler rigs and juicy worms as much as everyone says they do. My aunt pulled three little walleye out of the same place at about the same time. She was fishing with minnows, though. I tried switching to minnows and the bite stopped, go figure.
