My wife and I caught over 100 fish today. The kind of day where you drop in your line and it comes back with a fish. Mostly sun fish and blue gills, 5 crappies, a northern, several rock bass. Fish of the day was this small mouth

Nice small mouth today on Pelican Lake in Orr, MN. All 14-20” small mouth are required to be released in an effort to make this a tournament lake

While cleaning garage I found an old pic with my dad with the biggest fish I ever caught on Pelican Lake, Orr MN back in 1970. We were fishing for crappies and the northern swallowed the crappie whole. He actually choked and he came in like a log. Quite the day. my dad was more proud then me!!!@
