La Cygne Lake

We were at La Cygne Lake hopping around different banks, trying something different and I've seen some good stuff about that lake but... Yeah, we almost got skunked! Just one small bass and days like this makes me want a boat ;) But it's always good hanging with my son and explore different lakes.

This is the only fish ive caught in 2023, and not for lack of opportunities. I’ve probably been out fishing 8 times in the last month and only caught 1 fish 😭 Think im gonna take a few weeks off, wait for the crappie to start creeping up into the shallows to spawn ✌️

Spent a Saturday a few weeks back at La Cygne Reservoir, which is considered by many to be the best bass fishing lake in Kansas. Only managed to hook this guy. Hope to make it back out someday this winter to fish the warm water outlet supplied by power plant which is stationed on the lake.
