Twin Lakes

This morning was filled with both frustration and triumph! I hooked a couple pretty good-sized fish on a topwater frog only to lose them while pulling them through heavy cover. I was about ready to cut my losses and head home when I decided to change tactics and throw a Texas-rigged Bandito Bug around some submerged trees. When this fish hit, I thought for sure I was snagged something fierce! It was quite the thrill on my medium-light Fenwick; I was praying under my breath the 8 LB flouro leader wouldn’t break as I brought him up through the pads. This is my personal best at 3 LBS even. I guess persistence pays off!
