I also caught this perch. The body seems somewhat deformed and a little bizarre. If I caught it in front of a nuclear power station, it would make sense. At this point I’m really not sure what his story is and perhaps will never know.

I caught a lot of smallies today (kayak trip 12). The red buoy is an illustration of the very strong current in Katchewanooka. The airhorn will hopefully stop crazy boaters from crashing into me. I also lost -acouple of monster large mouth which may take a few days to heal.😪
