What a great day at the lake! First time driving on the ice after 3 years of fishing 😬 Went for Perch and Pike today, finally got some lil Jumbo Perch! Finally got a catch on the tip up too, I've had it for 2 years and I never got around to using it 😅 The Perch bite was hot early morning, but once the sun came out that's when the Pike came out to play and the Perch were there, but they weren't biting and as committed than before 🤷 It was nice to see the fish finder light up when a school of perch would come by! Happened a few times during the morning, definitely a sight to see. I didn't keep all the fish we caught, out of the 4 perch I kept 2? And none of the 5 Pikes caught on the tip up -- all a little bit under the legal keeper size. A fun day nonetheless -- what a way to spend a Monday 😁
