The Atlantic cod … still amongst the tastiest fish in the sea! Tight lines !

One of my favorite Striper outings of the year, when the harbors were blitzing with massive schools of bunker (pogey, menhaden) and the stripers were thick as thieves. It was a frenzy!!

Humidity eased up, temperature dropped, found plenty of live bait - and put a thumping on the Stripers. Nothing huge, but caught a dozen easy with 5 in the slot - with the largest at 31”. I will take it 👍

Got my buddies on some Striper action! 4 baits … 4 fish …. 45 minutes. Efficient!! 36” took the prize!! 🏆 👍 💪 🎣 🤙 🔥

Well … chose to ignore the weathermen who seem to be scaring everyone from fishing lately with threats of thunder and lightning. I took a chance and it paid off. Beautiful day. Zero rain. Zero thunder. Zero lighting. Plenty o’ Stripers. A half dozen fish including a couple 20 pounders, both in the high 30’s for length. 👍 💪 🎣 🤙

Personal Best (PB) Striped Bass with my wife and Father tag-teaming an incredible catch and release … just a total pig 🐷 of a Striper!!! 💪 🎣 🤙 🐮 🐷 😎 👍 🙏 …. 47 inch length, no scale onboard but estimated between 35-40 pounds; Wooooooooooooo!!!! Safely released, unharmed with a huge splash kick after an amazing close encounter with possibly the fish of a lifetime. Mom was shining down on us and likely pulled some strings ……#sograteful #fishanglermadness

I took my Pops out for some quality time on the water. And he scored a beauty of a slot-Striper in the first 10 minutes of fishing. Woohoo!! A tip of the cap to the guy that lit the fishing fire in me as a kid. Thx Dad 🙏 💕 🎣 💪 🤙
