40° on Camp Lake yesterday morning, but a beautiful day to get out on the water with my son. Caught these 5; son caught 6. Vegetation definitely dying off, making weed fishing easier, but more challenging to find fish. Crankbaits on ledges and deeper areas were non-productive. Baby Bass dingers was the lure of the day.

Couple mid-day catches out of the lily pads and reeds. Also sporting my new Shady Rays (thanks, Brian Wetter!), and, boy, do they work great!!

#2 son in town for the weekend, so I took him out to Camp Lake. We got 4 in total, all north of 1lb. Son hooked a couple more that didnt make it to the boat.

Couple small ones today. They have really decimated the vegetation and weedlines at Camp Lake since i was there last…the weed harvesters have been busy! Great for boating; terrible for fishing. Quite disappointing! I was lucky to find these two.

Finally got out to Camp and the lake has changed. They have a dredger and they are cleaning up all the weeds! Good and bad. For fishing it sucks. The water is so dirty, and there isn't alot of weeds on top for frogging. Loved this lake for that. Was able to get 5 bites and 2 fish. 1 on a chatter bait/no skirt/fluke trailer and 1 white swimjig. Besides that, nothing!

It was Lure Variety Pack day on Camp Lake today. First, a 1lb 4oz LMB on a black/blue Dinger, then a 10oz LMB on a watermelon red flake Dinger, then a 2lb 9oz Northern Pike on a modified Johnson Silver Minnow, and finally a 1lb 14oz LMB on a Chatterbait Jack Hammer. Fun times!
