Guadalupe River

My first rainbow trout in texas! 14 inches on a double dropper rig drifting my fly through the edge of a run. Fight was amazing in the faster current!

I caught 5 and he caught 3 bows on the Guadalupe. Fun day!

Troutfest TX was neat, hit the river just cause. Came up with this decent rainbow off the top end of a shelf pool. Tangled the crap outta both leaders so split, lol. Nice day to be out.

Dropped a prince nymph and worm dropper into a 2ft wide trough at the top of the riffle run, this dude was hanging out at the bottom.

#keepemwet18 The Guadalupe river below canyon lake dam is the southern most trout stream in America. I am very lucky to call this area home. No where in the country is keepin em wet more important than here in the Texas heat with these rainbow/brown trout. The water comes out of the dam at 160+ feet deep and is around 55 degrees all year. That is the only reason they survive year round, needless to say they don’t last long being handled in the triple digit air, that’s why I always #KEEPEMWET18 !!! #guadaluperivertroutunlimited #texasparksandwildlife
