Vermilion River

Patrolling the river for early chrome and I forgot my water cup which is a kick ass cup. So... I cranked the yak up to 3.5mph to boogie back to the launch to get the water mug. And BAM this lil guy smacked the one.... Like what?? Also caught a sheepshead and missed another bass that jumped and spit the hook. Missed sunset but it was still beautiful. 🎣🎣 #catch24

#catch23 Another Smallmouth to prevent being skunked. They're so fun. I heard a splash behind me (I was trolling) and thought oh crap... because you know when they do their acrobatics that they'll spit the hook. Well... not tonight little smallie! Also, remember the boogie shad 4 lure I lost in the tree yesterday? I got it back today. Yay! It's easier to do when it's light out 😂. What a gorgeous day and evening for the Fall Equinox! Happy Fall everyone! 🎣🎣

#catch23 Baby smallie. This lil guy hit in shallow water right by my kayak. Kinda startled me. Lol One of my skunk busters. Caught 2 blue gill too. Same lure. Looking for steelhead. 🤔. I'm telling you those Boogie Shad 4s catch everything! I did hook into a 1 Steelhead but didn't land it. It did it's roll jumped and head shake dance and spit the hook. 🙄 It was sort of a frustrating night as I lost 2 lures... one of which I was this Boogie Shad 😞 the other was a glow spinner. Plus my line got tangled in my friend's pedal drive on his kayak. Just a bunch of mishaps! But, the night was beautiful, and we saw starlink fly over. That was kinda cool...and freaky all at once.
