Unnamed / Providence Pike - Pond

I missed a bunch today. I had a nice one that broke off when I tried to flip it on the bank and then missed hooking 8 others. I’ll have to remember my net next time. I only managed to catch one bluegill on the fly rod.

The trout were biting good today. I missed 8 of them, but still managed to catch my limit in about 2.5 hours. Bass were everywhere, but I only brought my trout tackle. I attempted to catch some of the fly rod, but only managed to get a couple of little bluegill.

It was a good day today. The weather started off gloomy and rainy, but it didn’t last and the fish were biting. I missed about as many as I caught, but was still able to pull in the limit on trout.

Not what I was fishing for, but still a fun catch.

I did some micro-fishing with my nephew. He wanted to catch some small bluegill for his aquarium. He out fished me by a lot. I didn’t have any luck with bluegill but managed to catch a tiny catfish and even smaller bass. We had a great time and managed to avoid the rain.

My nephew and I snuck in about an hour of fishing. He wanted to catch the smallest fish that he could on a hook and was able to catch several that were under 2 inches. I stuck half a nightcrawler on and managed to catch was a little channel cat.

This is the first bluegill I’ve ever caught on a minnow.

It was a little slow today. The catfish were biting, but they were all small and very skinny.
