Took a couple of hours to troll for crappie. I caught four beauties that weighed 3.12 lbs (the largest was 1 lb) and two catfish. It was just a beautiful afternoon.

Tried fishing in the afternoon for a change and caught 3.5 lbs of crappie, 1 catfish and a small white bass. My largest crappie measured 13.5”. The lake was down 6’ from last week but the fish didn’t mind.

Tried my luck this afternoon after what seemed like weeks of rain. The lake was up 7 feet and I launched my canoe from the parking lot. I caught 2 nice crappie (11”) and a small catfish trolling using a Bass Pro jointed crankbait.

My Fish Angler buddy, Brian Nakai, caught a nice bass using a top water lure on Saturday.

Finally got out after days of rain. The LMB hit a jointed crankbait and fought hard.. I was using an ultra light rod with 4# test so the fight lasted a while. Later, I got a small white bass and a little crappie.

Great morning to be on the water. I used a curly tailed jig with a spinner (Bill Dance recommended on his latest show) and it worked! Landed 5 crappie (kept 4 between 10.5”-11.5”)and a catfish who thought he was a crappie.

Beautiful day to be out. I caught 2 crappie and 7 catfish and didn’t lose any lures. I did have one impressive strike that sent my reel screaming and bent my medium-heavy rod over 180 degrees. What it was is unknown but it was BIG.

Wasn’t expecting much: the water level was down over 4 feet from last week and it much cooler this morning. Still, I hooked a 15” Catfish, a crappie and a bluegill that thought he was a bass.
