St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center Madison Pond

Also caught a bunch of sunnies. The largest one I unfortunately couldn’t take a photo of cause it fell off the hook onto the muddy bank when I was dragging it through the reeds. Even though I slogged through the muck to retrieve & release it so it wouldn’t die in the mud, it was in no shape for a selfie.

Decided to check out a small pond nearby that had never been tagged here yet. Probably for good reason as the pond banks weren’t the best for fishing. Most of it had either low bushes w/branches or trees w/branches. So snag city high and/or low. I think the only reason I could even get to the 3 points that I found was cause all the surrounding vegetation was dead since we’re deep into fall. Even then I wasted more time than I’d like unsnagging my line and I lost 3 weighted floats and trout magnet jigs. :( But the sunnies (and chubs) were biting and I think I caught ~10 during my time here. I also lost more than I landed. The creek chubs were a new species for me so at least I got something out of this oftentimes frustrating outing.
