Man oh man was that an exciting catch... When I fish at night there's a couple of things I have to be sure of... drag is set heavy and have strong braid with a freshly tied on hook. Had to pull this donkey through some thick vegitation and thought she was gonna shake off. This was a few ounces from beating my PB. This is why I keep fishing, especially at night!!

Went out to the shed to get some line to re-line one of my reels and decided to make a few casts. Good choice, she smashed the Texas rigged crawfish right at the bank.

Bass feasting on a bluegill bed and nailed my rage bug on 2nd cast. Only 1 dink afterwards, but I'm not complaining 🎣

Well, I set out to land a nice hawg and stayed at it until I got what I came for. Slowly pulling a 5" Senko with an occasional hop around a dock I felt that thump. It's not a stick or clump of grass this time... patiently waiting just a few more seconds as I felt my line take off to the left, I set the hook and switched on my headlight. I could tell right away that this was a nice one. I've lost probably as many over 5lb as I've landed, but not tonight! Be patient, keep her down and take it slow. Thanks for the late night visit big mama. I'll see you again when you get bigger.

Nice start for the weekend. this should hold me over until tomorrow.... Well, at least until tonight. Getting it done on a Senko, they can't resist!

Probably the smallest nighttime Bass I've caught, but no complaints. This little fella choked it.
