I've taken my father-in-law out of the nursing home about 20x over the summer and he finally scored a pike! That was his dream fish to catch this year and I'm glad he was able realize it. He has dementia and forgets how to use his spincast reel about every 4 casts. It's hard to see as he was a proficient fisherman his whole life until parkinson's and dementia hit him. I ended up catching 4 pike and a 15" LM bass all in this one location on a 30' drop-off. The best part of the day was seeing how happy he was to land a fish on his own.
