Deep Creek Lake

Did a little bit of fishing on Deep Creek Lake this afternoon and landed two stud perch on the baby whale. The wind was ripping but at least it was nearly 60 degrees!

Beat my personal best Northern pike today by a single inch with this 27 incher! He ate my jerkbait right at the boat. Also caught a beautiful 3lb Largemouth on the Megabass Magdraft swimbait, which I went on to lose 10 minutes later after getting bit off by a toothy fish… Caught a small Pickerel on the swimbait as well.

Tried out a new lure today and was able to land two decent walleye and a bunch of pickerel. The walleye were my second and third ever.

Caught my first walleye today trolling just before dark. Barely got him in after he got hung up in a bunch of weeds.

Caught three pickerel and a 2.5lb largie today. Got to fish off the pontoon boat for a bit and landed a fish, but the rest came from trolling behind the kayak.

A pretty slow day on the water today but did still manage to land a few fish. Today’s haul was 2 pickerel, 2 perch, and a smallmouth. Everything but the smallmouth came on a crankbait.

Caught about half a dozen Pickerel trolling behind the kayak today. They all came on jerkbaits, but I did lose a few on the a-rig.

Caught a little bit of everything today off the kayak on a husky jerk. Highlight was two pike (even though they were pretty small)
