Water is high after the recent storm but managed to find this monster lurking in my local brook. Best fight I’ve ever had.

Trout fishing is heating up in the Northeast!!! Caught 5 wild brookies and this beautiful brown in my favorite little brook this morning.

Not catching a ton this tine of year but the ones I am catching are FAT! Apparently been a healthy year for the trout around here.

Caught my personal best today at 4:44. 2 casts later I hooked another one as big if not bigger. Snapped my line trying to reel the 2nd one in 😮

Mid-day monster in the scorching heat! No fight, felt like a log. Released as quickly as possible, poor fella.

It had been a couple of weeks and there’s been lots of rain while I was away so I was a little worried about how the fishing would be, but I netted 6 and had at least that many drop off so it was a good evening back on my favorite brook.

Two very colorful brookies on dry flies, such a rush to see them coming up for the take 😮

Beautiful brookie this morning. After a fair amount of rain yesterday, I was surprised to see it come shooting out of its hole for my streamer.
