West Lake

Good day on the lake. Caught a lot of fish and dodged some area storms.

Got a few nice slabs today...good enough for some appetizers at dinner!

Bite was on today!

Brought a few bucketmouths in the boat this morning for a quick meet & greet/photo op before sending them back on their way.

Fun morning wetting lines with my forever fishing partner @IowaFisherJr. The air was hot....the bite was not....a few dinks is all in the early morning & then we threw everything but the kitchen sink in the water but no takers. Water temp 72 at start, 77 at noon.

Terrific day chasing bass! Conditions were the best of the year so far. They ate everything & I wish I could've stayed out longer. Landed 7...probably missed that many too. Hard to set the hook on the frogs sometimes.
