Went out early this morning to test my luck some more. Got two bites off the bat then nothing for the next hour and a half while watching them breach the surface all around me. I tried frog, crawdad, spinners and nothing seemed to get their attention. Any suggestions on what hits good around here?

Little pre-work fishing this morning. Calm morning and got a few takers on the whopper plopper & the chatterbait with keitech swimmer. Good to wet a line for the first time in a few weeks.

Went to a local pond that I've been to dozens of times. Loaded with panfish & dink bass...no need for the tape or scale I figured (wrong! ha ha). Second cast with the spinner w/ keitech swimbait trailer....slow retrieve parallel with the shoreline.....and bam, this bluegill smashing machine went after breakfast. Did the best I could to measure using the rod.....22 in long....Google says that's 6 lb range. Oh well, will never know exactly but it was a healthy and heavy fish & a lot of fun.
