Lost the first due to a line break...then I brought out my new baitcastor...BAM!! OH YEAH....I am loving my baitcaster and losing no more fish!

Taking a few moments to enjoy the day!

This Lil lady was a pig snarfing down a 10.5" tomato ribbon worm. Definitely hanging along rip rap chasing hatched bluegill. I missed the 1st and 2nd hook ups on 2 totally different frogs. Voice in my head said pick up the other rod and chuck it. Not the rod FYI HAHA...I cast and BAM!!! She fought me and would not stop swimming for cover...dove down and ran out into open water...geez!! She looks really bloody in the pic and I was wearing that too...I said stop thrashing...a 4/0 Gamakatsu in the roof of the mouth has got to hurt!! I got it out, cleaned her off and released her healthy. For good measure she backlashed me with her tail and gave me a good soaking. I so need a scale.!

Had an awesome morning watching the sunrise and a little fishing before work. 1/0 plain shank Gamakatsu hook, blue/black 4" YUM senko, and my Shakespear Mantis. I am not a patient fish fanatic but today was a BIG lesson. I lost two LMB tanks setting the hook too soon and forgetting to check my reel drag. The girls were wild jumping out of the water and thrashing in front of me. I am sure they were laughing at me since both times the hooks were thrown and the senkos way up the line! Good times!!

This was so much fun! The hits kept coming...I literally trimmed a torn senko, re position the hook and cast. BAM!! This one was mad wild!! I had a challenge getting the hook out deep in the throat. Spawn is over with bass here and they are all over the place. Again senko was way up the line. Need to switch to my owner twistlock hooks! Cut the torn ends and reuse people. It worked great today!

I switch up to a 2/0 and my hookup was way better. I also tried weedless hooking in the middle of the cut down senko and this one took the blue-black yum like a champ!

About to end and reeled in...hard hit....Bamm!! 🦈 became a 🚞 taking me on a little pulling ride. Wild one. Crabby growler out of water. Happy Monday 😊

Realized I lost my hook/line cutter in my fall yesterday. This guy was gut hooked. By myself too and sore from yesterday. Worked it free through the rt gill...not easy. Fish vomited down my arm (pretty smelly) and rehooked itself in the jaw trying to reswallow the plastic worm. Held it in the water. Really calm with all my talking to myself. Those eyes were following me. Once recovered it was seriously mad soaking me good. I deserved it. 😪
