Blackwell Forest Preserve Picnic Area Pond

Caught this miracle fish on my last cast. Hardly even felt it hit the popper and it was on. Nice bass, probably my pb. Sorry for the bad quality, it was really dark. (I forgot to post this for a while)

Had some fun just messing around last night at my local pond. Caught a bunch of Bass and Crappie, but I lost what 100% would have been my PB Largemouth, easily by over a pound l- when she dove immediately under the pilings below the Pier as I was reaching back to grab my net. I rarely see 5+ lb Bassfish there so I was blown away! Thought it was a decent catfish all the way up to the point where she came close to the surface. Unfortunately the line snapped immediately as soon as it hit the pilings. Those old fish are Smart! Still cool, definitely will throw some more jigs at dusk again on some lighter line, though 8# didn't cut it today! It was just amazing to get out after a tough week at work.
