Only one of the day but fun to be back south after last months trip out west!

Small largemouth on a spun hair mouse (commercial but effective). Weather finally turned and started getting strikes at 5:00 curfew 🤦🏼‍♂️ - marriage or fishing past dinner reservations 🤔? - No, no, I didn’t even think about it for a second (he says, knowing these posts last for all eternity).

A long day fishing in wind and rain among cypress trees and Lilly pads but managed a decent bass on a wet fly with a sinking leader although he took it close to the surface.

Slow day of fishing the cypress trees and lily pads - finally caught this one in the pads and shade of the trees on a white and red diving deer hair fly. Spinning deer hair flies takes me forever and have yet to get them as good as store bought - I gave up and added a bunch of different colored store boughts and this one did the trick.

My brother Ben pulled this monster out of the trees this weekend. Casting rod and a 10” plastic worm with a bullet weight.
