Talk about exotic aquarium fish 🐠 Not the target species but I’ll take em! I must have landed on a school of them I caught 5 in less than 10 min. These silver dollars are some of the few fish you can keep with your cichlids and still survive so it makes sense they are out here surviving too. So cool bringing up some new species I haven’t heard or seen in the water before. It felt like a real life Pokémon!

We went out twice today, Jasmine managed to grab a hell of a skunk beater on a tiny grub jig. This is my new bluegill setup, guess it’s gonna catch these midas cichlids too, I’ll take it!

Took the Tidal wave crew 🌊 out on my lunch break and slayed the Butterfly peacock bass (Peacock cichlid) . 4 fish in about 40 minutes, which is a record for us! Biggest one was caught by yours truly at 1.6lbs not a behemoth but still a good lunchtime fish :) I’ll take em!

Went out looking for butterfly peacock bass on my lunch break and ended up with a couple Mayan Cichlids, first time on a rooster tail and feather jig. They didn’t like them at all, thanks for all the suggestions! #catch22
