Well I went back to the scene of the assault. Catch of the day was getting this green gobbler, 1.8lbs, to snap my Rooster Tail. Caught a few others ranging from 5” to 1.2lbs. #BassAdventures 🐸 #C&R #TightLines #PondHopping #CentralFlorida 🐟 #CatchingNotFishing 🎣

I always crack up at those memes that start off with, "Yeah, thats me, you probably wonder how i got here"…well I had my version of it last night: This is one for my books…stopped by this location unexpectedly. Last cast before wrapping up, and this guy, Mr Thrashie-Bassie, smashes my Whopper Popper 5ft from shore. What a fighter 🎣. I get him on shore, grab his lip, this wild 5.7lb’er shakes loose the lure launching 🚀 it deep into my thumb and index finger…literally hooking them together. Like a champ, I muscle through the pain to capture my Florida #PB #C&R #PondHopping thought out my options while my adrenaline was at max and decided that after not being able to self extract, to delegate the task to the professionals at #OrlandoHealthER (AMAZING professionals and service)…but first, locate some heavy duty cutters, thank you #MarriottEngineering overnight team, to cut the barbs loose, so we have extraction options, RIGHT! … so I hanging out in the ER waiting to get some help pushing the barbs out, half laughing at myself-halo shaking my head…in over 50 years of fishing, this is a first and prayerfully a last…OUCH ❤️‍🩹 #TightLines #HooksAreForFishNotFingers everyone 🐟 Happy Resurrection Weekend everyone…see you on the water Sunday #CatchingNotFishing
