Barnett Park Frog Pond

Caught this little bigmouth jerking plastic crawfish by the tail to imitate natural escape behavior. Performed CPR (Catch, Photograph, Release). Two firsts: fishing Frog Pond and using that lure, straight outta Walmart.

Thought I try today, but nothing. Nothing biting except this little guy. Whenever the parks adjust the water depth, the fish dont bite.

Bust today...Only two keepers, but released. About 20 caught total, then they justnstopped biting. Like night and day. One red ear caught!

Shooting Bream today...About 40 and maybe two keepers, but threw all back. Problem, seems they drained the lake in prep for hurricane that didn't come!

Nice day of Bream fishing. Caught about 75. Kept about 20 for a meal or two. Funny thing, I looked like the Keystone Cops today. A big hawk swooped down and grabbed my stringer of caught fish. I grabbed the stringer in mid air falling on my ass, but saved my fish! Caught one little Bass reeling in, he jumped at my worm. One good pig caught today! I was hitting the Bream hard today! Fun!

Caught about a dozen of them, all the same size, almost every other cast got a bite.
