21 sand dabs, 1 sculpin, 1 rockfish. Was a fun day.

The homeboy caught a keeper sculpin

I took 2 months too long to get one of these lol. Little guy went under a rock during our battle l. Thought i was gonna lose him.

Took my brother-from-another-mother Jeramie fishing for a half day out of Dana Wharf! Couldn’t have been a better day! We both caught fish! He out fished me for the first time since we known each other!

Most memorable catch in cali forsure. Used a freshwater baitcaster in the ocean cause i didnt know anything better. But i learned a lot from the 30+ backlashes i got this day. I drove from dana point all the way up to long beach and back down. Then i said, i wont stay for longer than 45 min. Ended up spending about 4 hrs on the pier even through some light rainfall chatting with another angler who recommended a soft plastic dropshot rig. After i rigged up, i was slowly working the dropshot. Then out of nowhere, my first halibut strikes my curly tail! I will never forget this learning curve i worked hard to overcome this day…
