Good two day run to Kasilof for some dipnetting! Had a blast and filled the cooler!

A nice school of coho were running up and down the beach approaching high tide, but only got one strike from them. Caught a nice fat dolly and a starry flounder.

Small Dolly Varden grabbed a #6 Pink Revolution in the surf as the tide was ebbing. Very grateful that anything bit this morning. Most of the forage seems to have disappeared from this section of the beach.

A fat Dolly Varden inhaled a black and white #6 Surf Candy just off of the beach in about 2 ft of water. Sorry for the poor picture. I was trying to keep him wet and release him quickly.

Well ... a reclimated chartreuse and white Clouser kept the skunk away on an incoming tide ... but just barely. I'm thankful that anything bit today, but this was definitely not my target species. Finally tally: 2 sculpin, 0 salmon

Saw a Chinook jump out in the bay and saw baitfish being chased closer to the beach. Unfortunately, all I could coax into biting was a Starry Flounder. Very thankful that it grabbed a chartreuse and white Clouser, though. My better half caught a jack king salmon (immature male) on a Krokodile spoon, reportedly, as she did not provide photographic evidence and was out of my line of sight at the time.

Coaxed a small flounder and a 13-14" Dolly Varden into biting a chartreuse and white Lefty's Deceiver this morning. Bay was flat calm until a cold east wind kicked up a bit of a chop.

Sea-run dollies and salmon are proving tough to find on the beach. At least some ground fish are willing to chase a fly. This medium-sized pollock grabbed a #4 black and white Clouser. Thank goodness for "rough" fish.
