Lake Maraetai

3x Great condition Browns this morning at Lake Maraetai. 2x for me, the 1.85kg Gail caught. Biggest was 2.3kg, Gails one 1.85 and a lovely 1.2kg? juvenile ‘hen’ with tiny roe in the sacs. Water was 17 degrees so still fish in the shallows. A good few hours out there 👍

FIRST TROUT. Take a kid fishing for his first trout, this is the result. He ended up pulling in four fish, all brown trout, the heaviest 2.43kg. He's still grinning 😀

Stunning Day on Lake Maraetai. We caught 5 fish, put two smaller rainbow back. Kept 3 brown trout ranging between 1.4kg & 1.8kg.

Got 2 Brown Trout 1.8kg & 1.5kg and a Rainbow 1.170 kg. Beautiful day on the lake

Great fun pulling this brown trout in at Lake Mareatai. They feel like a sack of sounds until they get to the boat then out up a bit if a fight.
