Out of Puerto Los Cabos Mx. went 90minutes out to Iman Banks on my favorite boat and crew, Dona Meche, Ulysses skipper and Jessie as First Mate. Water getting warmer and clearer (at last!), lite wind. Decent Yellow Fin Tuna, bonito, grouper, snapper, sheep’s Head. Strips of squid for the tuna and bonito and Red crabs were in and schooling so we netted a bunch and went to town on the snapper and grouper. We had to keep the smaller snapper because they were deep and their swim bladders filled when we brought them up. Lost three monsters all after 20-40 minutes fighting. Line break twice and thrown hook once. Using 50lb braid and 80lb leader 0n a 10500 Penn Slammer 3 HighSpeed. I should of been able to bring in a 100lb er ez on that setup....Even with the loss’ we were the Big Fish of the day at the marina. I’ll get those suckers next time now that I know where they live!! Lol. Great day on the water.....
