North Sea

2 small flounders , both before high tide. Few more bites near high tide but nothing landed.

Fished Elliot Beach today 3 up 1down. 2 hook flapper with 2/0 Aberdeen hooks with black lugworms, bluey stripes .Had 10 dabs, 3 pollocks , 2 codling, 1 rock ling, all undersized fishes returned to fight another day. Usual tackles use, 14 ft Sonic SKS rods , Shimano Ultegra reels.

I have been fishing Elliot Beach, Arbroath on Friday overnight, three hours before high tide and one after. Usual combo SKS Sonic 14 feets, Shimano Ultegra reels, two patterns flapper with weight 6oz and 2/0 Aberdeen hooks. Bait was Mackerel, Bluey stripes topped with squid. Breeze NW wind and some scattered showers around 1am. Did manage four flounders, mostly on Bluey stripes also had two really strong bites but, maybe bass but loses fish over surf.

Came in beach about 4:30 am, quickly set up rods, then cast. First catch was a bass about 5:00 am then followed by 5 flounders. Really nice sesh, had all beach for my self, nice weather quite cloudy but that how I like it. Rigs two patterns 2/0 Aberdeen hooks, weight 5oz gripper. Baits was macrele stripes, bluey stripes mixed with squid.
