Qu'Appelle River

Another big Channel Catfish from the Crooked Lake spillway into the Quapple River. The big ones sit there and fill their bellies. No we get to fill our bellies😉.

First cast at the Crooked Lake spillway into the Quapple River my Wife caught this nice Channel Catfish. We have never caught one under 8 pounds there! If anyone has never eaten Catfish, it is the best fish I have ever tasted! She also caught that big Common Carp.

This came up as a Facebook memory from 5 years ago. My Wife caught two over 19 pounds at this spot that year. I believe this one was around 15 pounds.
