Columbia River

I thought I felt a bite so I set the hook and then nothing...I reeled a bit and thought I had a stick or something, just dead weight. About 10 feet from the shore it finally started fighting. I had barely snagged it through the lip, surprised I didn't lose it like I did the second one as I was reaching with my net.

Decent fish on the first double digit degree day of the year.

Walk the shore for 2 hours, catch 2 at the walk in on the way out 😆

Forgot my jigs at home except for the one I had tied on, still found a taker.

Getting over that pile up seemed tricky so I had to stand my ground with this guy. A lot of back and forth, we were both pretty tuckered.

First over 20” in a couple weeks, seems only the pinners wanted to play for a while.

First bull trout of the year. Pound for pound, bulls gotta be the hardest fighting fish I’ve ever caught. This little guy carried on like a 2 foot rainbow.
