Been lucky enough to fish the Broken last few weeks, a beautiful river system from what I have seen. First cast a lure in this river 3 or so years ago and whilst I havent fished it often I've certainly had some luckless sessions and a few battles lost over the years. Persistence paid off and stoked to land my first Broken River cod at a respectable 59cm. Followed up with a few nicely marked fish the next day.. speedy release vid.. he was keen to get back to the safety of the overhanging willows! All on yabbs, no luck on the lures.. yet!!

Donkey of a yella from the Broken. Must have been close to 3.5kgs. Caught on the trusty yabby. Slow fishing otherwise...
