Lake Leake

Had a fantastic day fishing today fishing with my grandfather, we both had action on our rods from the moment we left the boat ramp! There was 100's of red fin about close to the boat ramp so we moved over towards the island where we caught 6 nice size rainbow trout between the 2 of us, the best part of the day would have been when I landed my biggest trout of my life! 💯👌

Awesome day out on the boat with Grandad today! SO Thankful that the rain held off until now 🙏 This 49cm Rainbow trout put up a great fight it was awesome to see! Meanwhile the other rod appeared to have some weed on it then after winding In the line this little red fin was foul hooked! 😂🎣

Absolute pearler of a day today out on the lake! Was the first time both my grandfather and I had fished this particular lake and left this afternoon with two very nice trout. Spoke with a couple different blokes at the boat ramp when launching the boat and each and every one of them had caught fish themselves or was with someone who had, safe to say it's a great spot to fish. - anything with a bit of pink color on the lure seems to be what's getting there attention at the moment. Caught the brown trout whilst trawling & caught the rainbow whilst spinning a retrieving a lure fairly close to the weed areas.
