First Catch

This was my first time catching crappies, and I caught two little ones on an Ozark Trail rooster tail knock off.

I finally reeled one in at this pond. I’ve been here numerous times and the only other time I hooked a bass, it spit the hook right before I pulled it in. I caught this one on a black and blue swim jig with a craw trailer.

These are some of the several I caught this evening on worms and the Ugly Stick. There are a lot of small bass swimming around, but none of them were taking my artificial baits.

Pictured are four of the bigger bluegills I caught today. There were several other smaller ones not pictured.

Redeemed my lack of fish catching in the Mad River and Eastwood Lake after stopping by this pond for a bit. I saw several carp feeding along the bank and a decent sized bass blow up the water where I was catching bluegills. I caught about 10 gills (a few not pictured) on the Dock Demon with worms.

I tried fishing in the river today with no luck. I have a lot of respect for river fishermen, because I rarely catch fish in the rivers. I went to the pond instead and caught about 14 sunfish (a few not pictured) on worms and the Ugly Stick.
