Fish #2 for the #rldltopwaterbash2 Largemouth in lakes mid day are a huge challenge right now. Fall transition and lake turnovers are #realworldproblems 🤣. I spent about an hour trying to find active fish in all the spots with cover. The fish were either not there, or not active. I’m sure the low water and blue bird skies don’t help either. On 2 occasions I had fish rise and mouth 👄 the toad but these were the softest bites ever. Finally I flipped my @yum_baits #tiptoad under a tree on top of some green vegetation and this guys exploded on it. This fish was dark, very dark, which is usually an indication of being buried in the grass. One and done for the day and that’s a blessing as far as I’m concerned. Only fishing during lunch breaks is challenging, but that’s ok with me.
