Easter weekend relax time

Got 3 grass carp before work, and one channel cat! One of 'em LOVED trees 🤦 Lost 4 of what I think were grass carp, but we'll never know. 🤷 Good morning out! Still need to work on my bread game. 🤙

Striped bass caught on night crawler

2 new species today! Brother and I both got our first grass carp, and I netted about 10 orange-spotted sunfish! This turtle and I stared lovingly into each other's eyes for a bit before they took off, and I helped clean out the lake! 😂 Good morning out 💜

Slowly becoming the king of not catching what I'm targeting. 😂 Threw out some night-time carp rigs with my brother, and pulled in a channel! Missed 2 gar, and lost one as it jumped over the kayak paddle; need more practice on how long to wait for those suckers, but they can fight! First gar tomorrow? 🤞🔥

They didn't say anything about tiny wipers in this lake. 😳 Only found a few little baitfish for my brother, but bait's bait 🤷 I don't think the carp liked my stinky catfish leader; we'll put a new one on and get back out there tonight for BIG bait 🤌 Here's a red eared slider we freed from a tiny lure on Sunday; thought poor buddy was brush until it started thrashing again. Good days out!

Accidentally went to the wrong lake, but got ahold of some channel cats, and some dinks while I was trying to catch bluegill 😂 My secret to catching baby largemouth bass: fish for something else. 👍
