Fishing with Lance At Apache Lake
Epic multi-species second session today with the boys! Big Bows, Master Angler Perch, and even a Walleye at 8,500 feet above sea level. What a cap on a beautiful weekend!

3 Bill's went on a fishing trip today, and we smashed em! The trout are spawning, and we could see 20 Palaminos stacked up in the cove. I wild day with a few 11" perch to end the evening!

Jim J At Parvin Lake
Spent a few hours today in the Red Feather Lakes area. I guess most lakes here are private and even the public lakes have a day use fee of $9. After paying for a fishing license as well as national, state, and county park passes, I didn't know there were still public lakes where I had to pay to fish. Parvin Lake, however, doesn't seem to have a fee. I caught one small rainbow in Parvin and then searched for another fee-free location. And I found a beautiful stream on national forest property with a healthy population of wild brook trout.

It was a great opening day in Red Feather this year. Nice 20"er and a Palamino taboot.
