Another new species of 2023 (after the rainbow trout)! Generally was busy since that Blue Mountain trip. School year was ending and I had to babysit two dogs until one of them have reunited with his family. Today, I was just targeting Brook trout in my local spot. For a slow day, so far, only a native sculpin (caught off camera) and now, an unknown species of sucker I have no clue with; which is from a school of suckers. Note: My first sucker is actually a black redhorse from The Grand River in Brantford. This little guy, however, is either a white sucker or longnose sucker. Need either help or research on what species this sucker is. It’s been over 2 years I caught a sucker since. Still have Rice Lake tomorrow (hopefully) to aim for black crappie and even the walleye opener from a week prior. Happy Victoria Weekend to all!
