Head spines strong - nasal, preocular, postocular, tympanic and parietal spines present, supraocular, coronal and nuchal spines absent (Ref. 27437). Caudal fin rounded (Ref. 6885). Olive brown to copper with pink or yellow blotches, white on sides and belly; rear two thirds of lateral line is white; usually with two dark bands radiating from eye; dorsal fin dark copper brown to black with some white (Ref. 27436). Branchiostegal rays: 7 (Ref. 36715).

Caught a total of 3 rockfish(not sure of specific species). Just going on a paddle board and casting out. Thought I was snagged then realized I had 2 fish on. The bigger one is the one I have the info on and my new PB rockfish.

Went out for a couple hours and ended up catching some decent copper rockfish. Unfortunately the biggest one of the day broke me off. Also found my knife which I dropped in the ocean last august. I’ll restore it and post a photo of it later

Went out for a day of fishing and caught a dozen rockfish. Ended the day with a little cook up of a frozen fish I brought from home. Nothings in season right now, so I’m running out of rockfish from last fall. Oh well, still have four pinks in the freezer from September. Turned out to be a great day on the water and the fish on the fire was the cherry on top
