Lake chub

Good to know your Entemology! Can help catch fish. These are just a bunch of species I found in my neighborhood pond. Looked a little strange infront of people but worth it. For me atleast, I dont know anyone else in the world that would find catching bugs fun. Got a few beetle divers not sure of exact species, these ones were a smaller variety. A bunch of little scuds/shrimp, a sleepy leech, snails, a damselfly nypmh, along with a dragonfly nymph. I think waterboatmen and backswimmers are more ealry summer. Anyways, the leeches, and dragonfly larvae are good bait. Before this I also saw a caddis larvae, but didnt have a phone on me. I like anything that is atleast partly realted to fishing. This is more common for fly fishers though. In the future i hope to catch another toebiter, since they are cool looking, a stonefly (only in rivers), and an underwater stickbug i only saw once before.

My brother caught this nice chub, I got one smaller one last week too! New fosh species to me, google said it doesn't taste good, but anyway cooked it and it was as delicious as perch.
